A single-herb liquid extract of dried plant material of Coix lacryma-jobi, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Job's tears is a grass that makes its own beads. Each female flower is enclosed in a modified leaf sheath that hardens as it ripens into a glossy tear-shaped shell, pearl grey to almost black, with a hole running right through it where the stem passed — so a ripe seed head is a natural string of beads, and they have been threaded into rosaries and necklaces for thousands of years. The cultivated form has a soft shell and is grown as a grain.

Glycerite: Coix lacryma-jobi, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Not for use in pregnancy — Job's tears stimulates the uterus. It may lower blood sugar.
